Crunchy Granola Muesli

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, at least that is what was handed down for generations, and even if this were not true, certainly waking up with a good breakfast helps a lot to be in a good mood 😀 . So what better excuse to prepare a delicious muesli at home? Crunchy oatmeal enriched with almonds and raisins 🙂 .

muesli croccantePreparing muesli at home is very simple, you will need five minutes of working and twenty minutes of baking. Then the oat flakes will be ready to be served with yogurt, milk, coffee, tea or even crunched as a snack 🙂 .

Crunchy granola muesli

Ingredients

  • 150 g of oatmeal
  • 25 g of honey
  • 25 g of brown sugar
  • 50 g of almonds
  • 50 g of raisins
  • 30 g of butter
  • 15 ml of water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1.5 tablespoons flour
  • vanilla

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan melt the butter together with honey, sugar, water, vanilla seeds and a pinch of salt.
  2. Apart mix oatmeal, flour and the almonds coarsely chopped.
  3. As soon as the butter and sugar are melted, pour over the oatmeal and stir vigorously.
  4. Place the muesli on a baking dish, covered with baking paper, forming a layer less than 1cm thick.
  5. Press and flatten the oats with a meat mallet, your muesli will be much more crunchy when baked.
  6. Bake at 170 °C in a ventilated oven for 18/20 minutes.

  7. Once past this time, let it cool, then break it into pieces and add the raisins.
  8. Enjoy your breakfast 🙂

Notes

The recipe that we have shown is one of the possible variants, you can safely replace ingredients as you wish 🙂 . For example, granola is great with cranberries, replacing raisins, which give a more pronounced sour taste. Or if you are lactose intolerant, you can use coconut oil instead of butter. If you are vegan, replace the butter with coconut oil, and the honey, half with brown sugar half with brown sugar.
