You certainly have recognized them immediately from the picture 😉 ! The burger buns have become the symbol of fast food sandwiches.
These small, very soft and slightly sweet buns can be easily prepared at home. It just takes needs a little patience for them to rise, and their pleasant flavour will invade the entire house 😀
Burger buns are a must if you want to prepare the hamburgers at home, but they have so much more to give! We also like them for breakfast too, warm and served with some jam… You’ll wake up the right mood 😀 !

- 250 g of flour 00
- 250 g of Manitoba
- 10 g salt 2 teaspoons
- 50 g of brown sugar
- 12 g of fresh yeast
- 75 g butter
- 200 ml of water
- a little milk
- sesame seeds
Combine flours, sugar and salt; with a whip break all the lumps.
Add softened butter and yeast.
Continue to knead integrating water little by little until you obtain a malleable paste.
Divide the dough in 8-10 loaves; arrange them, well apart from each other, onto a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
Put the loaves to rise in a warm place covered with a cloth; you could put them in the oven at 40°C.
After about a hour, when their volume has doubled, brush them with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake the burger buns at 200°C for 15-17 minutes.
