As some of you guys requested, we translated into English our recipe of the banana cookies filled with Nutella! 🙂 You certainly know how delicious the marriage between Nutella and bananas is. We decided to pay homage to this magical union with a delicate banana shortcrust pastry, flavoured with vanilla beans and filled with Nutella.
These little cookies are perfect for your breakfast or as a sinful snack and they reach their best served warm, when the Nutella is lightly melted.
We created this recipe to honour the Nutella Day, that falls on the 5th fo February. Not “Guy Fawkes Day”, of course, that’s on November. On the World Nutella Day people all over the planet invent recipes, take pictures, write poems… anything simply concerning this cream.
Now, stop talking and let’s prepare these banana cookies together! And, more important do not forget WND anymore! 🙂

Banana cookies filled with Nutella
Ingredients
- 120 g of manitoba flour
- 120 g of white flour
- 1 banana
- 100 g of brown sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 60 g of butter
- 1/2 vanilla bean
- Nutella
Instructions
-
Combine together the flours, the sugar, the baking powder and the salt, mixing with a metal whisk to dissolve the possible lumps.
-
Using the point of a knive, extract the vanilla seeds from the bean and add them to the mixture.
-
Melt the butter and squash finely the banana. Add them to the other ingredients and knead energetically till the dough is smooth and compact.
-
Wrap the dough in some cooking film and let it rest in the fridge for half an hour.
-
Once cooled, take back the dough and roll it out with a thickness of about 3-4 mms. With a 7 cms pastry cutter, cut 15 discs and fill the centre with half of a teaspoon of Nutella.
-
Bend the discs in half and close them without squeezing out the Nutella.
-
Bake the cookies at 180° for 15 minutes.
