Today we’ll present a tasty snack, not suitable for the faint of heart 🙂 , but absolutely a must for chocolate lovers 🙂 . Tasty cookies with dark chocolate, cocoa and a generous addition of Himalayan pink salt.
The pink salt will give a nice salty contrast to cookies. If you have already savored chocolate with salt, you’ll know the taste; the only difference is the practical cookie shape 😉 . For a better result you shouldn’t use ground salt, but start with coarse salt and crush roughly, so that some small salt crystals will remain in the cookies.
This is a proposal, of course out of competition, for our contest Chocolate & Salt. Go have a look, you will have the chance to win a nice prize: D.

Chocolate and pink salt cookies
Ingredients
- 100 g of flour
- 75 g of dark chocolate
- 25 g of cocoa powder
- 150 g of sugar
- 25 g of butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar.
Instructions
-
Mix the flour, cocoa and baking powder, then sift it all.
-
Add the sugar and the egg.
-
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter; then add them the other ingredients.
-
Add the salt and knead quickly. We recommend using the coarse salt and you just crush roughly, so that some small salt crystal will remain intact and create a nice contrast when tasting the cookies.
-
Shape the dough into small balls, put them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake them at 200° C for 12 minutes.
