Chocolate and pink salt cookies

Today we’ll present a tasty snack, not suitable for the faint of heart 🙂 , but absolutely a must for chocolate lovers 🙂 . Tasty cookies with dark chocolate, cocoa and a generous addition of Himalayan pink salt.biscotti cioccolato sale rosa cookies chocolate pink salt

The pink salt will give a nice salty contrast to cookies. If you have already savored chocolate with salt, you’ll know the taste; the only difference is the practical cookie shape 😉 . For a better result you shouldn’t use ground salt, but start with coarse salt and crush roughly, so that some small salt crystals will remain in the cookies.

This is a proposal, of course out of competition, for our contest Chocolate & Salt. Go have a look, you will have the chance to win a nice prize: D.

Difficulty Easy

Ingredients

  • 100 g of flour
  • 75 g of dark chocolate
  • 25 g of cocoa powder
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 25 g of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar.

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, cocoa and baking powder, then sift it all.
  2. Add the sugar and the egg.
  3. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter; then add them the other ingredients.
  4. Add the salt and knead quickly. We recommend using the coarse salt and you just crush roughly, so that some small salt crystal will remain intact and create a nice contrast when tasting the cookies.
  5. Shape the dough into small balls, put them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and bake them at 200° C for 12 minutes.
