Spiced twisted cookies with orange and cocoa
Ingredients
For the dough
- 150 g flour
- 100 g of brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 40 g butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
For the spiced variant
- 1/2 vanilla bean
- 2 cardamom pods
For the orange and cocoa variant
- zest of 1/4 orange
- 2 teaspoons of cocoa
Instructions

Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.

Add the butter at room temperature and finally the egg.

Divide the dough in half.

In the first half, add the seed of vanilla and ground cardamom.

In the second half, add the grated orange zest and cocoa.

Let them rest about twenty minutes in the fridge.

Take the doughs and form some small rolls about 0.5 cm thick and 7-8 cm long.

Pair a chocolate roll with a vanilla one, tangle them and close the cookie to form a circle.

Arrange the biscuits on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and cake them at 180 °C for 9 minutes.
